Description

We’re looking for an ambitious Junior Video Editor to come join our growing in-house team. You’ll be working under our senior video editors on a wide range of projects. These may include social media content films, branded content films, mood films or stock films. And as you build your confidence, reel, and portfolio – you’ll expand into music videos, commercials, and even narrative projects. We’ll count on you to maintain strong creative partnerships with Copywriters, Art Directors, Producers and Film Directors in delivering the final exports on time and to brief. On occasion, you might also be invited on-set to do real-time editing with clients and directors.

This is a junior position and we’re not expecting you to have everything figured out. We will help grow and develop your skills but some prior experience working in an in-house advertising agency or in-house commercial production company is necessary, as you’ll need to own projects from the get-go.

Essential Skills & Requirements

 - A prior internship, work placement or 1-2 years’ experience working in the industry

- Energy, drive, and passion to do the very best

- A showreel featuring your best work and shows off a sense of creativity and artistic viewpoint

- Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of Premiere Pro

- An understanding and ability to colour correct in Premiere

- Basic comprehension of colour grading in Premiere

- Basic working comprehension of After Effects

- An interest or background in music and timing

As a Junior Video Editor, we’ll be interested and invested in your growth and well-being. Working closely with your seniors, as well as our creative leadership, we want to help you expand your skillset and deliver bigger and better work. We have the ability to train you in the use of After Effects, DaVinci, rotoscoping and clean up, as well as to invest in off-site training opportunities. What we want from you in return is commitment, creativity and to bring your love for the art and craft of editing to our table.
